On Halloween we all went to Camp Good News for a party.. We had a great time. The zip line was one of the highlights of the day. Isaiah, Caleb, Abigail and Mommy ALL got to try it out! (Isaiah was a veteran zipliner, but for the other 3 it was a first time adventure.) I was so proud of them for being so brave! It made me want to be brave too!!

September
Abigail got her very first "real" haircut at the beauty salon. She cut about 5 inches off!
Mom came to visit and the kids FINALLY got to go up the look out tower in Peoria Heights. It was just a wee bit sunny up there!!

Family Time
A couple of weeks ago I got to spend 4 days with both of my sisters, my mom and my mom's sister, Vernie. Mia flew in from Colorado so we could see how cute she looks pregnant and we had a shower for her while she was here.. It was so fun to be all together!!
Fort Lee
Early this summer Scott and the boys finally got to construct their long-awaited fort... The plans (that have been in action since Isaiah was 3) always had been to build a tree house... But then we moved into our house here and alas - no trees. But as usual nothing could stand in the way between Scott Lee and his dreams... No trees for a tree house?? No problem.. After weeks of taking inventory of our "scrap" wood, (that we had been collecting - and moving from house to house -for over 8 years) designing, sketching and creating on paper, the 3 of them settled on a design... And after 2 seconds of looking at it, Mommy (as usual) shattered their dreams and spoke MODERATION into the plan.. :) No, I actually just casually mentioned that maybe the 10 ft. long tunnel from our house's 12 ft. deck to the fort and the 100 ft. long zip line across the yard were not really TOTALLY necessary.... :) After deliberation they conceded and made a few MINOR adjustments to the plans. The girls and I went on a walk that Saturday and when we returned the surveying, leveling, and measuring had been done and there were 6 holes dug. Of course, in true Scottie Lee fashion, some of the plans changed along the way, but this is what we ended up with a few short weeks later.... (Oh yes, and take note of our neighbor's siding and fence that had blown down in the wind storm a couple of days earlier.... Most of our neighbors lost shingles, 8 ft. sections of fences - blown across 2 yards, siding, and 2 wooden playground sets were picked up, thrown 500 ft. and then smashed to smithereens... But not Fort Lee... Oh no - Not Fort Lee... And that's Scottie Lee construction for ya.) :)
All of the kids ended up being able to help and the two big boys learned a lot and were great workers.
And other than the swings, rope, and a few random pieces of lumber, it all came out of our garage!! We even "helped" our neighbor clean out his garage and got a few more pieces that enabled us to add on to build the swingset/monkey bar section of the fort! Thank you Tracie and Brian!
Daddy's Day..
The birthday Daddy with the kids and their very yummy chocolate cake with candy bar pieces on top...
