Our New Puppy...

I know it's hard to believe, but it's really Zeke... He got his summer cut today and we are still laughing in amazement at the difference!!! He looks 20 lbs lighter and half the age he looked before!! If only a 1/4 in. shave could do that for all of us, right? heh heh. They say his hair will grow 1/2 in a month, so it won't last long... But long enough to get him through the hot, dirty summer! I wish we would have had the groomer save the hair - we probably could've made sweaters for the whole family... :)

And here's the before picture....

Grandma Rosie

Here are a few pics from 2 1/2 weeks ago of Rosie and the kids. We are busy spending time over at Grandma and Grandpa's most every day. The last 2 weeks she has gotten much worse quickly. The good news is that she is going to be whole and healthy soon and with Jesus. She is ready and looking forward to it... The kids have read through this book about heaven to her a couple of times now. It's exciting for her and for them to think about and talk about it.. Scott's sister Jennifer and brother Curtis will be coming into Peoria today and Chenoa is already here. Thank you for keeping her and the family in your prayers.

Slipping and Sliding..

Birthday Festivities

So, Abigail is 4... The night before her birthday her auntie Noa and I took her and Micah to the mall to buy her something with some money from Grandma Rosie. Build-a-Bear it was. I've never been there and it was quite the affair... She chose a floppy-eared bunny and named is Lucy Rosie. It is very special and will mean a lot to her as she misses Grandma in the future.
So, the morning of her birthday began with kisses and berry muffins. Her food requests for the day were: Berry muffins, grilled cheese, tomato soup and pizza... :) I wasn't complaining... Easy to please... The boys had emptied their piggy banks once again and carefully selected very FINE gifts for their sister - lip gloss, (mango fizz flavored) a large, plastic, pink margarita glass, a necklace making kit, doll house furniture, a pink beaded necklace, and fancy pencils... The margarita glass was used at every meal, of course!! We baked and decorated her cake and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's in the afternoon. The boys, Daddy and Grandma Brown decorated the house with pink and purple streamers and balloons while Abigail and I were out. Rosie was able to sit up in the living room for a little while to enjoy some of the fun. She had to head back to bed, but was able to hear the singing and even had a little cake. We were all glad she was able to be there for it. The next day the festivities continued.... We had our friends the Martins and the Deutschs over for a cookout and more cake! It was a great time.
