Anthony Josiah

Our sweet nephew, Anthony Josiah was born this morning. We got to drive up to take a peek at him. He is beautiful and Mommy and baby are doing well. Welcome, little Anthony!! :)

Daddy's Birthday

I know, I know... A post about Daddy's birthday and I've got 8 pics of the kids and NONE of Daddy??! One of Scott's gifts from us was a frame for his desk at work with updated pictures of all the kids, so we had a photo shoot this morning and I thought I'd share some of the shots. We had an early egg & sausage breakfast with the birthday Daddy this morning before he left for work and the kids presented their cards and pictures... (Isaiah hooked Scott up with some cold, hard cash... He took $5 out of his piggy bank to put in his card!) Then, we visited Scott at work at lunchtime to deliver the frame and more presents. When I was trying to figure out what we were going to put in the bag with the frame the kids had all kinds of input... Abigail was convinced that Daddy needs a motorcycle... (on his cake.) Caleb thought a piece of steak in the bag would be sure to please, and Isaiah stated that he knew what Daddy "really wants.... black dirt to put in the yard." :)
Anyway, I didn't get a lot of photo opportunities in the little time we've been with him as of yet!! We have a church cookout tonight and we are going out on a belated birthday date tomorrow night.... Maybe I'll get a picture of the birthday superstar later. :)

For the Love of a Bear...

Some day he might be a little embarrassed about this, and in fact, now that I think about it, his Daddy probably would not have approved of this post... :) But it was too cute to go unpublished.... By now you are all well aware of "Bear" and the love that Micah has for it... So, Abigail and a friend were playing babies and had her sling out for one of her "twins." Micah confiscated it and found a new way to tote Bear along... See - he's multi-tasking in the last picture. Don't worry, Scott - the sling was soon off and Bear was riding in the back of the dump truck instead. :)

Isaiah's Birthday Week..

Presents and donuts for breakfast, (standard bday morning chow) grilled cheeses and cupcakes with the Deutschs for lunch, steak for dinner, the Ioergers over after dinner for more presents and a cake that Heather made, music and dancing, the Children's Discovery Museum with Grandma, Buffalo Wild Wings with a Happy Bday announcement and ice cream, a trip to Champaign, getting to see the Jakobys, lunch and singing with the sombrero on at Dos, fishing (and ice cream at Culvers) with Grandma, (and catching 3 fish!!) more cake and ice cream at Grandma's, MORE presents, shrimp stir fry, a bonfire with marshmallows and camping out in our backyard, and then conquering level 2 of the climbing wall at Dick's Sporting Goods (after waiting 2 years to be tall enough!!) to finish off the week!! All in the spirit of turning 7...

From Bean to Baby...

Here's an updated picture of our baby! The last we saw of her, she looked like a little bean... What a difference a couple of months makes in utero! She's fully formed and healthy... A robust 8 oz. :) And yes - SHE'S a GIRL. :) During the sono she had both hands up over her head and was snuggled into a corner, sleeping soundly... Caleb and Abigail came along with us and they were a little disappointed at the lack of action. But Abigail is thrilled to be getting a sister to love and most importantly - to share a room with!! We're all excited and so thankful that she's healthy and doing well.

The REASON for the Trip :)

I am totally embarassed to admit that I have not ONE good picture of the bride and groom... With the four kids and myself being in the wedding, getting pictures taken was a little hard.. Once I get some from Mia I will post a few that really depict the BEAUTIFUL bride, groom, and setting!!
